The BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 sits very close to our Gold pick in basic battery capacity, but the reason to choose it is not that it stores dramatically more energy.
The more interesting part is what happens after you start using that energy. Its solar input capability makes it especially attractive for trips where the battery is expected to recover while you are still away from the grid.
That matters much more on a four-day base camp than on an overnight trip. If you leave home with a full battery Friday night and return Sunday morning, wall charging before departure may be all you ever need. If the vehicle or campsite becomes home for several days, the ability to replenish from solar starts moving from bonus feature to part of the plan.

The Elite 30 V2 is what happens when you stop asking how much power station you can afford and start asking how much power station you actually need.
Its 288Wh battery is tiny beside the three podium models. That is not automatically a weakness.
If your camping electricity consists mainly of phones, a laptop, cameras, lights, a small fan and other electronics, carrying a 25-pound battery can be solving a problem you never had.
